On fri 7th March Throttle played a last minute, unscheduled, 20 minute set at the tavern in Wigan. We were drafted
in by merseyrock to repace cancellations in the 1st leg of their battle of the bands competition. with only one
rehersal with shep under our belt 20 mins was luckily all we had prepared. Because of our lack of preparation we
were simply just hoping to break Shep in and get his first gig with throttle under his belt, however as it turned
out Shep was on fire!! He played as if he had been in throttle for over 1 year instead of 1 month and helped us put
on a great show in our home town. The result of this was, not only did we progress to the next round in the
competition but we actually came 1st in the heat despite stiff competitiion from our good freinds "Odins Blood" and
up and comers "My December".
So keep your eyes on our gig section for info on the next round of the Merseyrock Battle of the Bands!!
We would like to officially announce that as of now the remainder of our gigs will be played with Shep on the bass
guitar, due to his relentless hard work and progress in learning some of our toughest songs over the last few weeks.
Therefore his sheduled debut will be moved forward to play the all day festival in Dee Jays in Leigh on 23rd March
2008.
Since his split form Throttle 2 years ago, we once again had the privalege of sharing the stage with ex lead guitarist,
Adam Wardle, as he was kind enough to step in as Marks temporary replacement on bass for our last few gigs. we would
like to thank Adam for putting in alot of time and effort to help us stay afloat in our darkest hour as it was much
appreciated and we wish him all the luck in the future.
Once again just as everything seemed to be going right for us we have hit an obstacle. Mark Teasdale announced,
just before the new year, that he wanted to leave Throttle, and so now he has. We do have a temporary replacement
in the shape of our former lead guitarist Adam Wardle to whome we are very gratefull. However Adam moves to Australia
in March and so with giggs booked for this year we urgently need a permanent replacement.
Please keep your eyes open people for anyone you think may be interested and get them to contact us via any of the
details on the homepage of this site or via myspace (myspace.com/throttlemetal).
Applicants must be between 16 and 25, have gigworthy equipment and be willing to gig far afield. If your willing to
sing, that would also be an advantage. Any other information can be given at the audition. No time wasters please,
this isnt something we are rushing into or taking lightly, we want the right man (or woman) for the job.
This is our first news post in a long time, but make no mistake, Throttle are still going strong! This year we
have been gigging near enough none stop and what a year its been, playing alot of new venues aswell as some of
our old favourites. We have gigged with some great up and coming bands such as Fury UK, Element, Supamodal, Sinnergod,
strain and Canadian metallers, Remain to name a few, not to mention the mighty DIAMONDHEAD!! twice. We have also started to
support tribute bands for the first time such as Sack Sabbath, Dio Rising and Tallica. Then there was also our first
appearance at the Newton Music festival, headlined by none other than DR FEELGOOD. To add to this there was the release of our
new album (Forged in Metal), which has recently received a top review from American Rock magazine "Hard Rock Haven"
which can be found on our myspace - www.myspace.com/throttlemetal.
Plenty things to look forward to as we draw to the end of the year, including a party for our good freinds and valued fans of
the band Big C and Emma, which we have been given the honour to play. Congratulations on your engagement!!
Also giggs booked for the new year already and new songs being written for the next throttle album, so listen out for
em at our giggs.
Talks are also being had with Diverta (the distribution company that works with Remain) that will hopefully result
in worldwide purchases of Forged in Metal to be made alot easier.
We are still working hard to promote the album and getting it put on a label so get the word out people,
Throttle needs you!!!!

its been over a month since our last post so here is our latest news.
Throttle are in talks about doing a full length album. Dates for recording are currently being discussed. The album will be recorded and mixed by Mark (Singer/Songwritter) from Sinnergod. Mark runs the recording studio at Urban Sounds.
The album will consist of around 10 tracks. This is our way to be able to get all the older songs (written with members Adam and Ben) onto disc so everyone can enjoy them as its been a good while since the first Throttle Demo was released. The new album will also have a few news songs which the band are currently working on, plus the new versions of Guillotine and Bitch (Now titled "Churchill The Great").
In other Throttle news, we have a bunch of gigs planned in August. A few gigs in different towns.
Also the Moses Gate gig has now been moved to Sunday 30th July. The Battle of the Bands that Throttle are entering is now to start on the 7th September titled "Rock Idol".

Also Throttle playing at Cicago Rock Cafe Battle of the Bands is also being rescheduled for September. The two gigs will be happening but not when they was supposed to be.
Also Throttle have been asked to organise a gig at the White Rooms in Warrington. With us doing this we can choose what bands we wish to play with. Also good news to all you under 18's who wish to come to the gigs but cant get in, here is your chance to see us. Its a day gig so under 18's can attend. So far we have asked friends to play.

News
Throttle are back up and running and better than before. We have played a few gigs with the new boys and our shows are getting better after each one.
Throttle is currently working on some new material. We are currently sorting out our covers which we will be adding into our set, dont worry Metallica - Sad But True is staying in our set as it get a good vibe from the crowd. Also in our set we have Black Sabbath - Paranoid and Megadeth - Trust.
Throttles new song we are currently working on is called "MDK", which is written by Mark & Mike. This is one of many new songs we have in the pipe line. Lyrics can be found on the Throttle myspace site in one of the blogs (www.myspace.com/throttlemetal).
We are currently working on a new version of the song "Bitch". Saddly due to the departure of Ben & Adam the lyrics have had to be changed. The song title is "Churchill The Great" (This is a tempary title at the moment).
Also Throttle are currently talking about what merchandise we will be sorting out to sell. We have a few idea's but if you guys have any idea's please feel free to put it across and we shall see what we can do. Email us at throttlemetal@hotmail.co.uk.
NEW LINEUP !!!
Posted, 3rd Mar, 2006
Its official, THROTTLE now has a new lineup!
Mike Winrow - Lead Vocals, Rythm Guitar
Chris Jones - Lead Guitar
Mark Teasdale - Bass, Backing Vocals
Martin Watts - Drums
We have officially chosen Chris Jones as our new lead guitarist, he may be young, but he really is shit hot!
He really impressed us with his speed and precision, but also his attitude, coming all the way down from
Westleigh to spend time in a terraced house in WORSLEY MESNES with three complete strangers, brave lad, haha!
We probably won't be playing the merseyrock gig afterall but whatever happens were hoping to be gigging agen
within the next few months, more info is on the way.
Throttle would like to thank all the guitarists who took part in the auditions, the competition was fierce but we
feel we have the right man for the job. Just a shame there was only room for 1 haha!
Also keep your eyes on the bio and visual pages for bio's and photo's of the new members and THROTTLE PC desktop
wallpapers.
Guitar Auditions
Posted, 23rd Feb, 2006
Hey people we are still on the search for our next lead guitarist (look at our last news post for more details)
but the auditions are going well. If you fancy a go or know someone who would then get in touch with us ASAP as
we will be ending our auditions within the next week.
Already we have auditioned some seriuosly awesome guitarists including; Matt, formely of "Devolution Theory",
classically trained with awesome speed and technique, Jack, rythm guitarist in cover band "ressurection", also
incredibly fast and able to pull off some ear-bending Zakk Wylde squeals and Van Halen type finger-tapping. Then
theres Chris, the 16 year old prodigey and despite only being a rythme guitarist in his last band "Hells Vellin"
was incrediby good for his age, typical attitude fuelled metal guitarist.
And in other news it has been decided that Mark is gonna jus stick to bass to make things easier.
Bad News!

if your a good guitarist and want to be in a committed, kick ass metal band then this is your chance so email us at -

Our new bass player will probably be alternating from bass and rhythm guitar with Mike. His name is Mark Teasdale
and is a keen and kick ass song writer, he is curently learning the Throttle tunes for his debut.
Ben and Adam also have big plans they are hoping to form a new band and go on tour so on behalf of the up and
coming, new Throttle lineup we wish them gud luck and will keep in touch.
